Solution
Simmentaler required an expense solution that is easy to use, seamlessly integrates credit cards and grows with the company. They chose Edi – Expense Intelligence. Edi stands out thanks to a user-friendly web and mobile app, automates bookings and clearly guides users through receipt capture. Combined with Cornèrcard as the credit card provider, an ideal solution was created. All Cornèrcard transactions are automatically imported into Edi daily. Employees capture their receipts directly via smartphone – Edi automatically extracts amounts, VAT and account assignment details. The system then intelligently matches receipts with card transactions and flags open items. Supervisors can see at any time which expenses are being incurred and how much budget remains available.

Since 2015, the Simmentaler Braumanufaktur has been brewing beers with great passion and regional ingredients that reflect the character of the Simmental. While new creations were emerging in the brewhouse, the workload in the office was growing. Receipts piled up, from credit card statements to handwritten notes. With growth, administrative tasks also increased, especially regarding expenses, receipt capture and card control. Employees collected receipts on paper. The accounting department checked everything manually and lost a lot of time with queries. As a result, there was a lack of overview, effort increased and dissatisfaction in the team grew. It was clear to Simmentaler: a digital solution was needed to simplify processes and increase speed.
Project
The project team set up the instance in a very short time and made it available to the brewery. Direct contact persons provided all necessary information. This accelerated the entire process. A few weeks after the go-live, processes improved noticeably. Cornèrcard completely replaced the manual matching of credit card payments. The team adjusts card limits immediately when needed. Approved expenses flow directly into the accounting system via the bexio interface, without any additional effort.
